WAREHOUSE & RETAIL ASSISTANT
Purpose of role: The dual purpose of this role is to help pick, pack and maintain stock in our busy warehouse and assist in our retail outlet.
This is a permanent part-time role with an immediate start.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Warehouse Assistant
- Picking, packing and dispatch of orders
- Daily cycle counts to maintain stock control
- Stock receipt and inventory
- Moving and restocking boxes throughout the warehouse
- Unloading shipping containers
- General warehousing maintenance and cleaning
Retail Assistant
- Serving customers with their dance wear purchases
- Processing sales, exchanges and returns
- Arranging and restocking merchandise
- General tidying and maintenance of the shop
Skills and competencies:
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Good numeracy skills
- Ability to work a till
- Confident serving customers
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Experience in a similar role is an advantage but not required
- Interest or experience in the dance industry desired
- Be physically able to perform manual handling of boxes
- Drivers licence for Australia

SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING ASSISTANT
Purpose of role: The purpose of this role is to help create original and on trend social media content for dancers, dance teachers and dance shop owners, and assist with general marketing tasks as required.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Design and implement social media content to align with marketing strategy and business goals
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content on a regular basis (e.g. original text, photos, videos, industry news)
- Execute plans from the marketing calendar in order to grow our social media presence and increase overall brand awareness
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
- Oversee social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and Google page account
- Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions, or new platforms e.g. TikTok
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
- Assist with the planning of the marketing calendar and campaigns as required
- Assist with executing sponsorship and event requirements
- Assist with photo and video shoots as required
- Assist with media editing and updating of digital and print marketing materials as required
- Maintaining email lists in MailChimp
- Maintaining up-to-date product and page information on website and social media

Qualifications: Marketing Graduate or completing final year of degree (preferred) or Dance Industry Training (Cert 4 or Diploma level)
Skills and competencies:
- Website content management system experience desired (WordPress/WooCommerce preferred)
- Experience/knowledge of multiple social media platforms
- Intermediate knowledge/experience of Photoshop
- Basic knowledge of InDesign preferred
- Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbal
- Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally
- Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner
- Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members
- Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner
